Hold It Up was a day long drop-in workshop, done in collaboration with artists Frankie Mazzotta and Florian Hynam. It took place on the 14th of August at Hyde Park Art Club.
The workshop celebrated 50 years of Pride in the UK, and explored the history of pride through banner making. We provided participants with reading material, fabric, paint etc. and encouraged them to either leave their banners with u s or to take it to Leeds Pride with them. The banners that were left with us were sewn as one large communial banner and taken to Leeds Pride. (If you happen to have photos of us at Leeds Pride with the banner, please do send them to me :) )
